The Micro-Lot — What is it?

There are two types of people in the world. The first go out on Saturday night to their favorite restaurant and order their favorite dish...every time. They know they'll have a predictably good experience — no better and no worse than the last one. That's what they like, and that's what they do. Many of our most loyal SkyRoast customers fall into this group. They found a coffee they love and it has become their daily routine.

The other group are always on the lookout for the latest restaurant opening. They thrive on the hunt for something different. The adventure of trying something new is what drives them. They are willing to take a risk in order to experience something extraordinary. If this sounds like you, welcome to The Micro-Lot.

At SkyRoast, we love sourcing, roasting and brewing new coffees from all over the world. The anticipation of finding that next great coffee keeps things fresh and exciting for us.

Occasionally, we find a special coffee that's only available in small quantities, or is too expensive to buy in bulk. As wonderful as these coffees are — and as much as we love drinking them — we simply cannot drink it all. So we want to share them with people that would appreciate them.

Since we can only stock so many coffees and still maintain our sanity, the trick is: how do we balance the coffees our customers have come to know and love, while still mixing in the occasional new discovery?

That's why we started The Micro-Lot — for coffee adventurers like us who want to experience the limits of what really good coffee can be. These are small lots or rare finds, available in limited quantities and not listed on our main website.
