Ethiopia Shito Hailemariam, Bona Zuria Gr1

This natural anaerobic lot comes from producer Shito Hailemariam of the Bona Zuria district in Sidama. An experienced farmer, Shito comes from a family of coffee producers and has been working in coffee production for 28 years. Her small, 3.2-hectare farm is located around 2279 masl and has a variety of shade trees, including avocado, mango, and banana (enset). Home to her husband and 4 children, Shito’s farm also grows many coffee varieties. To produce this year’s lot, Shito carefully picked ripe cherry from trees that were planted in 2012 and have been tended to ever since.
